17th January 2011,I had a conversation with my co worker, his a oriented person.
Throughout our conversations, we stress out regarding lack of increment? feel moody during working hours, happy after working hours, defy superior instruction, low morale because of lack of increment and etc etc.
This happen to most workplace, which ever company we go, we facing the same problem, whether our own worker, subordinate, mid management or top management.
They all want something from us and we want something from them, either way round.
Is so obvious, which we can't deny. When we climb up to the top of the higher mountain, we can
see beautiful view, beautiful scenery, beautiful in everything within our eyes.
The same to the top management, mid management and so on..
I agreed to some degree with my co worker, sometimes, lower rank should give opportunity
to shine and opportunity to show the top management or mid management what they can offer
to improve the company.
Initially, we can't force the management to agree it instantly, they too facing other bigger
responsibilities. They always says, we need to analyze, and see if we can fit it into our criteria. Which I call "KIV". Do first, talk later..
Than what happen to the lower rank? they quit their job and find greener posture.
This happen to most companies. They intend to be bias at certain point, because they never
listened to lower ranks. (Give us feedback and we'll see what we can do for you) common
words for management.
Most of us wanted a perfect jobs which fit our criteria, what happen to the gratitude? where the
gratitude gone?
For example Tom:
Tom's went for interview, wearing smartly clothes and talk nicely to the interviewer.
Tom intend to be confident and promote himself with highly rated CV.
After successful interview, Tom went out, his thought started to recall what has happen just
now. Afterwards he wish, that he will get the job, and give everything no matter what the
outcome.
Meanwhile, the human resource call Tom, saying he been selected", welcome aboard to our great
company, explain the HR. He excited, jump like crazy, and celebrate with family and friends..
First day of work full of energy and enthusiasm, striving to proved he worthy to this great
company.
3 months later, still trying to proved he worthy to this great company..
After confirmation, still trying to proved he worthy to this great company...
6 months later, he just trying to proved he worthy to this great company..
Than 1 year later, he nothing to proved to this great company..
Because, Tom's immune to the task and get bored with the same systems everyday, he try
to search for a job, finding to spice up in his boring life, hoping a miracle will come to him...
What happen next to Tom's ? the same cycle, all over again...
Nothing will never changed, if we don't turn ourselves around, for e.g. find what will improve
our living, maybe take some courses, recommend new activities, join sports, join company volunteer community service, humping with co workers..(kidding), be community chairman
and etc etc
Sooner or later, the management will see the impact we have make, than probably, they realised
is time for us to get promotion.
Always, point at one directions and we will see significant changes in our life..
What we learn from the nutshell? Always be gratitude to those who give us jobs and some
others still jobless.. like Tom...
